Only notebooks with the best heat dissipation solutions can survive continuous operation. We turned the notebooks on in the morning and left them on all day without a problem.

NRMA CareFlight, an emergency medical and rescue helicopter unit that serves the people of New South Wales of Australia, uses ASUS notebooks in different sectors of its service, including aviation, medical treatment and administration. ASUS notebooks play a particularly critical role in CareFlight's program aimed at improving survival rates in accidents with severe head traumas. With the help of mobile computing, CareFlight can deliver a medical team on scene faster than a local ambulance, and this new program is expected to reduce deaths from head injuries by 33%. "All our pilots have been very impressed with the ASUS M5 laptops and amazed at their ability to withstand the vibration of the aircraft," said Mark Lees, Community Relations Manager of CareFlight. "We are now ready to install ASUS M5 laptops in all our aircraft and to link them to the onboard navigation computers.」

ASUS notebooks were chosen to perform critical tasks during the PATAGONIA 2000 race, which saw the computers used in hot deserts and snow-covered mountains. One of the key tasks entailed serving as navigation devices, which they excelled at due to their built-in satellite GPS functionality and ability to display dynamic maps.
