Loading ...Mr. Sanjay Shah is the Managing Director of Anchor Health & Beauty Care Pvt. Ltd. A strong believer in ethical business values and Corporate Social Responsibility, he has imbibed the spirit of giving back to the society from his family members – the primary stakeholders in Anchor Group.
Even as a youngster, he was convinced that a good business is one that generates profits for its employees while delivering value to the community. In his quest to mastering this ideology, he went on to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in the United States. It was during this experience that Mr. Sanjay Shah gained a profound understanding about the importance of delivering value in business.
Upon returning to India, he decided to pursue his father’s dream of setting up an Indian FMCG company in Consumer Health and Beauty that would compete with the Global Majors – both in terms of product portfolio and quality standards. Since Anchor Health & Beauty Care’s inception in 1997, the company has gone on to provide consumers with premium quality products, in a cost effective manner. The 100% vegetarian Anchor Toothpaste, and the Grade I Dyna Soap, which features natural extracts and does not contain any fillers, are such offerings from the company that have redefined the quality of urban lifestyle across many countries.
Mr. Sanjay Shah’s business acumen and industry expertise have also resulted in him developing a close affiliation with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). As Mr. Sanjay Shah continues to steer Anchor Health & Beauty Care to scale new heights, he believes that soaking in new information and exploring unchartered territories is the way to continued success. Ask him about his leadership mantra and Mr. Sanjay Shah states, “I believe leadership isn’t about stepping onto a pedestal and watching others complete tasks correctly. It’s more about stepping down from the pedestal, time and again, to lend your team a helping hand in transforming challenging situations into successful ones.”
