Since NBA 2K launched their first game on Next-Gen consoles the game felt jumbled and unbalanced. The City on the next generation had players running 1,000m from point A to point B in order to 2K22 MT play. So, while it's still an impressively large City in 2K22, 2K Concepts cut out a significant portion of the random, unoccupied buildings, which makes the City appear smaller.

2K is adding the seasons of their City and Current Generation copies of the game to give players a unique perspective during their time on the game. Seasons will be different, and you earn XP to level up, and that come "REP" for your MyPlayer, along with boosts, as well as free items throughout each level. Each season will have 40 levels. These levels are offer free boosts, animations and even vehicles as gifts.

NBA 2K22 includes feature (on both gens) the voices of Buy NBA 2K MT Coins the in-house team from all 30 NBA Teams in the NBA. This includes Marcus Tucker, voice of the Memphis Grizzlies inside FedExForum, who will also be featured in 2K22.
