The Canaries, not wanting to go to extra innings, loaded the bases in the bottom of the ninth and were able to walk it off on a Chris Valencia RBI that brought Kirby-Jones around to score. Both teams starting pitchers threw well, but both Kyle Ruwe and Chris Salamida earned no decisions due to the late game heroics from Blackwood and Valencia. Alan DeRatt (2-4) earned the win for the Canaries despite giving up the Webb home run. And the Goldeyes Brendan Lafferty (0-2) was charged with the loss.
