Eden Prairie, MN - Minnesota Vikings defensive tackle Linval Joseph was struck in the calf by a stray bullet while at a downtown Minneapolis bar following the teams preseason game on Friday.
Joe Hudson . The Vikings announced that Joseph sustained only minor injuries from the incident, which took place at the 400 SoundBar club after the teams 10-6 win over the Oakland Raiders. The offseason acquisition was released from a local hospital shortly after receiving treatment and is expected to rejoin the team later this week. According to the Star-Tribune, multiple people were wounded -- two seriously -- by an unknown gunman that fired several shots around 1:50 a.m. CT on Saturday morning. "The entire Vikings organization is extremely thankful that Linval was not seriously hurt, and our thoughts are with all of the victims of this shooting," the team said in a statement. "The team will defer any further comment to the Minneapolis Police Department during its ongoing investigation." Joseph signed a five-year, $31.5 million contract with the Vikings in March after spending four seasons with the New York Giants. The 25-year-old produced nine sacks while starting 46 games for New York over the last three seasons and was a member of the Giants Super Bowl XLVI champion team in 2011.
Carlos Martinez . The motion to expand the stadiums capacity passed through by a count of 39-3, with Toronto mayor Rob Ford being among those in opposition.

During a session called "The Modern Black Male Athlete" at Harvard, Sherman told a standing-room crowd Wednesday that he tried to start a conversation about how blacks are viewed by the media and fans. He was called a thug — and worse — on social media because he was so emotional inn his trash talk about San Francisco receiver Michael Crabtree after the Seahawks beat the 49ers to reach the Super Bowl.
Austin Gomber. Houston Texans running back Arian Foster laughed, "If you call Richard Sherman a thug, you have never seen a thug." Arizona receiver Larry Fitzgerald and former Broncos cornerback Domonique Foxworth also attended the pair of talks. Foxworth, the former NFL players association president, is attending Harvard Business School. ' ' '
